Practice Manager

When asked what she likes best about her job as practice manager, Kathy enthusiastically replies, "I love it all!" Her positive attitude serves her well in her various duties including human resources, overseeing the hospital's finances, interacting with clients, motivating staff, and monitoring the practice's community involvement. Kathy has her degree in human resources and has worked in the animal field for 21 years. In 2001, she came to work for Lone Tree Veterinary Medical Center where she began as a receptionist and "advanced up the ladder."

"This veterinary hospital is filled with the most caring, educated and friendly owners, veterinarians and staff," she said. "It is a pleasure to come to work and know that I will see wonderful clients and their furry families."

Kathy is a member of the Denver Area Veterinary Managers Association. She is also a proud pet owner of two horses, two mules and two dogs.

In her spare time, Kathy prioritizes her family and enjoys spending time with all of them including her six grandchildren. She also cherishes time spent with her "sorority sisters", involves herself in many civic projects and loves to travel.

Reception Manager

With her happy attitude and her reliably good mood, Tania greets our clients and their pets with a warm welcome at every visit. She thoroughly enjoys interacting with all types of people and animals and it shows in all that she does. Her job responsibilities include answering the phones, scheduling appointments, checking pets in for surgeries and monitoring our pet boarding. She has worked with animals for over 10 years and joined our staff in April, 2006.

"I love my job," she said. "I truly care about the quality and care that we give to the pets here at Lone Tree Veterinary Medical Center and I care about how I personally provide service to our clients. I also love learning about new products and technology in the veterinary field."

At home, Tania enjoys playing with her cat, Spitz, swimming, taking long walks, camping, traveling and participating in family activities with her two children, Kaleb and Kalyse.

Technician Manager

Being able to multi-task well and possessing a strong work ethic helps Kelly in all her duties as one of our lead veterinary technicians. These duties include supervising surgical procedures, managing the technicians, educating clients on preventive pet care and tending to sick pets as needed. Kelly earned her associate's degree in veterinary technology from Bel Rea and has been working with us since May, 2011.

"I love working at Lone Tree Veterinary Medical Center because all the staff has so much knowledge," she said. "Also our clients are very friendly and I love working with the animals, of course."

When she is not at the hospital, Kelly cares for her three dogs and two cats. She also enjoys spending time with her family and friends, playing dodgeball and kickball, cooking and throwing dinner parties.

Lodge Manager

As our Lodge manager, Matt not only cares for our boarding pets, he also oversees all of the Lodge operations and pet safety. He truly enjoys spending time with each pet and the extra love and attention he is able to give to them during their stay. "I am excited to meet all of the pets that come to stay with us. Families entrust us with their pets because we treat them like they are one of our own." he said. Matt joined our staff at Lone Tree Veterinary Medical Center in May 2010.

Matt enjoys working at our facility because of the long term relationships he builds with the pets and their owners. "I also enjoy working here because the staff members are all very nice and easy-going. Working at Lone Tree Veterinary Medical Center gives me the opportunity to make new bonds with so many pets," he said, "which I thoroughly enjoy."

At home, Matt has a rambunctious cat named Maizey and a mellow Chihuahua named Lily. When not working in our Lodge, he enjoys fishing Colorado rivers, attending Bronco's games, and cooking.

Grooming Manager

Jill has been providing professional grooming services at Lone Tree Veterinary Medical Center since we opened in 2001, and has worked professionally with animals since 1994.

"I like that we provide a variety of services for the pet owner at our facility. It's convenient for owners to come to one location for all their needs," Jill said.

She has a young beagle named Hank, a senior Labrador named Molly, and another lab named Sammy.

She spends her time raising her family, riding her motorcycle, taking her jeep off road and hiking.

Certified Professional Dog Trainer

Eric has been training canines with us since July of 2004, and has been working with animals professionally for the past 15 years.

He truly enjoys every part of his job and always has a positive attitude. "I love the staff, clients and the dogs," Eric said. "It is always interesting and I feel like I make a difference."

He has two pitbulls named Allegra and AlleyGator that are also certified therapy dogs, and a boxer named Lulu.

Eric spends his spare time with his wife, and enjoys whitewater kayaking, snowboarding, and hiking.

Inventory Manager, Health Certification Specialist

Leslie Boyd has been employed as a Veterinary Technician at Lone Tree Veterinary Medical Center since it's opening in 2001.

In her current role as the Inventory Manager and Health Certificate Specialist, Leslie wears several hats. She manages the purchasing and maintenance of all medical department supplies, assists as needed in the Medical Department as a Veterinary Technician, and prepares International Health Certificates for clients wishing to travel abroad with their pets.

Leslie has been a Certified Veterinary Technician for over 22 years, with many of those years in management. She holds an Associate's Degree in Veterinary Technology, a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, and is an active member of the Colorado Association of Veterinary Technicians.

When not working, Leslie enjoys spending time with her husband and their dog, Layden, as well as reading, scrapbooking, and traveling.
